CFS Referendum

The decision on wether we should remain members of the CFS begins soon. Progressive students should take a stand and help to remain with other students unions in the fight to eliminate tuition fees. This is important, there is no other democratic organization that represents students across the country.

Great Rally

Yesterday the March 16 rally at the legislature went really well. Hundreds of students showed up to protest high debt and high tuition. It was clear that the vast majority of students there were proud CFS members, like me. We need to stick with the Canadian Federation of Students or we're not going to be able to hold rallies and protests like this with other schools.

I hope you all bought lozenges, because your throught will be sore from chanting. Today is the March 16 anti-debt rally at the BC Legislature. Students' Unions from the Naniamo and the mainland will be here in Vic to protest high tuition and debt. I'm going!

UVic needs strong student reps

So the goons that have been running the SUB for the last while are jsut to much. I like that will be changing soon but I'm worried about the state of our campus. Where is the mobilization needed to really take action and build political action on campus. So many students are talking about being neutral, that is bogus.
