Great Rally

Yesterday the March 16 rally at the legislature went really well. Hundreds of students showed up to protest high debt and high tuition. It was clear that the vast majority of students there were proud CFS members, like me. We need to stick with the Canadian Federation of Students or we're not going to be able to hold rallies and protests like this with other schools.

  1. I was at the rally yesterday. I'd never heard of the CFS before, but apparently I'm a member? At least they want lower tuition which is boss.

  2. This post is at least somewhat misleading.

The CFS did not plan this rally. It was planned independently by the UVSS, CCSS and SFSS. It goes to show that you can in fact hold these rallies without the involvement of the CFS.

  3. I don't know who planned the rally the other day, but there were an awful lot of CFS people there. I'd say most people were CFS.

  4. Looking through the pictures from that day I'd have to say that most were UVSS and other UVic/Camosun students...

  5. UVSS members and CCSS members are all CFS members. The only non-CFS students were highschoolers, Langara, and a few UBC students.
